Oral/Facial Biopsies

Lesions, bumps, and slow-healing sores on the face or in the oral cavity, or unusual findings on a dental x-ray, may require a biopsy. A biopsy is a surgical procedure to remove some or all of a suspicious lesion. The lesion is then evaluated under a microscope to determine the exact diagnosis and to determine if it is benign or malignant in nature. Doctors Gilbert and Greene are trained to clinically recognize these suspicious lesions and to biopsy them when necessary.
